As I reached the end of the Runyon Canyon trail, my dog and I were approached by one out a group of girls who introduced herself as an “Animal Talent Agent” from Hollywood Paws. She explained that they only selected about five or six dogs a year and that my darling Chihuahua would be perfect for commercials and movies. Excited, and since I think she’s the cutest doggy ever, I took the agent’s card and agreed to bring in my sweetie for a test. I even had a friend do some photographs of her. A few days later, we arrived at our appointment only to see there were many other such “hopeful” pooches. After some brief exercises and review we were set in a separate room and told, supposedly privately, that our dog was selected but it would be necessary for her to take their training to the tune of $6,000. I now realize that they stake out in Runyon Canyon, and who knows where else? Beware!!!
